Mastercam has a warning banner for the file I downloaded

In some of our videos, the downloads associated with those videos have an older file type than the version you are currently using. This is not a problem, Mastercam will still work with an older file like this. To remove the banner, simply save the part in the current version of Mastercam.

Mastercam won't open the file I downloaded

Older versions of Mastercam cannot open newer version files. For example, if you are using Mastercam 2019 (commercial or HLE) you will not be able to open Mastercam 2020 files. We recommend updating your software to the most recent version to keep up with the lessons provided. For the newest version of the HLE software, see our "How to Install, Setup, and Use the Home Learning Edition Software" here. https://streamingteacher.com/library/mastercam-2021-library/lessons/how-to-install-setup-and-use-the-home-learning-edition-software-4/4742. What does "Under review for version compatibility" mean?

Videos with this marker were made in a previous version of Mastercam. If this marker is on a video, that means we are currently checking to make sure the video is still good for the current version of the software. If the video is still accurate for the current version we will remove the marker. If the video needs to be reworked for the current version, the marker will stay until we have a new video ready to replace it.

What does "HLE Compatible" mean?

"HLE Compatible" means the lesson group will work with the HLE (Home Learning Edition) version of Mastercam, now known as the Mastercam Learning Edition (MLE). You will not need an industrial copy of Mastercam to complete these lessons. If a lesson group does not have this marker, that means the MLE software is not compatible with the lesson group, and you will need to use an industrial copy of the software with a valid license of Mastercam to follow along. There are only a few lessons that are not MLE compatible, such as the File Menu/Backstage (Industrial only) group and any Mill-Turn lesson groups.

I'm getting a 403 error when I try to download a file

To fix this issue, try clearing your cache in your browser. This will usually fix the issue. If this does not fix a 403 issue, please email us at [email protected] and let us know the specific video and version library you are having an issue with.

I'm getting a Google login window when I try to download files

We store and distribute our files through Google Drive. Some of our older files have permissions we cannot change, and will require a Google login for you to access. Please login to your existing Google account or create one to access these files. If this is not possible, please email us at [email protected] and let us know the video name, library version, and download you need. We will email the download to you. This is a temporary solution and we are working to update all of our old files to prevent this in the future.
